The Contrary Canadian by author Clayton Bye
A delightfully entertaining read of my good friend's life travel experiences. Once I read the first couple of experiences I couldn't set it aside.
--Murray C. English
Wow, what a wonderful message. We go for days/weeks/years on end waiting
for that reward to come when in fact we can give ourselves a reward as often
as we please for any kind of accomplishment. What a great way to live life!
Thanks for making me smile. You certainly "hit a chord" with me, as music is such an important part of my life too. I am always amazed when I slip on a pair of my kids' headphones and listen to "their" music. Either I end up smiling as I listen to one of my favorite musicians when I grew up, or learn of some artist or group that I've never heard of, that have now become some of my new favorites. (One of my 16 year old daughter - Christina's favorites is Frank Sinatra - go figure).
Either way, as you so aptly captured in the Contrary Canadian, music has the ability to touch us all in some way. Thanks for sharing.
I very much enjoyed it and found some of your insights to be personally challenging. You have a great gift for speaking to your reader without seeming preachy or conceited. I really enjoyed the conversational style.
